Here we are again, showing off some words. Want to see more snippets? Follow the graphic to the WeWriWa blog.
Now for my words. Wade & Shannon, discussing the state of the world. They’ve spent all their lives trying to figure out what might be, and now that they have a hint, they aren’t so certain they were right. From Book 3 of The Wildblood, WIP.

“The war started first, but the flu did more damage. It’s not like Hiroshima in most places, it’s like The Black Death. All of the material things were left, technologies, homes, cities, everything except people. The entire world is out there, waiting for us to go find it.”
“But there are people.”
He agreed, nodding, “There are people. We’re going to go out and find them. The vast majority of those people are going to have no clue as to our genetic predisposition unless we’re stupid enough to tell them. None of us are stupid.”

And that’s it for today. Book 3 is moving along, although, I suppose, I should seriously be thinking about a title. So many books, so little time.
You can find all the books in The Wildblood series here, plus a sneak peek at a brand new series.
I love this line, which is not only eye-catching but also full of wisdom: “not like Hiroshima in most places, it’s like The Black Death.”

“everything except people”
Interesting premise, Sheila. I suspect that the people ‘out there’ may have a few surprises of their own up their sleeves.

I always enjoy post apocalyptic tales and this is no exception. Intriguing stuff!!! Great excerpt, summed the situation up so well.

Will their nature complicate matters? Great snippet.

It sounds realistic for an apocalypse. I want to see what’s left out there.

“The vast majority of those people are going to have no clue as to our genetic predisposition…” It will be interesting to find out what that is…

Usually I don’t care for post-apocalypse. Too depressing. But your snippets make me think hope is there to be had. Nice
