WeWriWa #8Sunday 04/03/16

I got something accomplished this week! Before I share, take a look at the WeWriWa page and all the other amazing authors there.

Now then, this week’s words, from my newest venture, Hunter’s Moon. It’s the first novella in my Urban Mythos series. They are novella-sized stories that don’t necessarily have anything to do with others in the series, other than being urban myths.

Hunter’s Moon has vampires, shapeshifters, and erotica.  Not here, however.  The excerpt is rated for All Audiences.  This is part of a conversation between the human archaeologists Lyra Alexander and her brother,  Morgan, concerning her recent run-in with shapeshifters.

“What does ‘Samael’ mean to you?” I hadn’t specifically put that in my written report and I sure as hell hadn’t told Jerry. I don’t know why, but it feels like one of those secrets.

Morgan half-heartedly shrugs. “A lot of ancient text consider ‘Samael’ to be the angelic name of Lucifer; others call him ‘the angel of death’.” He mulled on it a few moments, letting me lead him back to my cozy corner. I motion for another round of drinks. “Is that what your shapeshifter called himself?” he finally asks.

“Yea, it is.”

“He is neither,” Morgan tells me.

Hunter’s Moon will be available on April 28, 2016, and you can pre-order it at Amazon for 99¢ this month.

  1. Morgan seems very sure of his facts. Let’s hope he’s right – even if Samael isn’t literally Lucifer, the fact he takes the name indicates his attitude and approach to life. Not a safe character to get involved with…
