Tau Scorpii

When Taryn rescues another human from a marauding band of Caeruleum, she is reunited with clansmen long believed dead. It puts her at odds with their new chieftan, as well as her own partner, a powerful privateer. They discover, they have a more imminent problem, and must unite to survive.

The weather is changing. They’ll have to fight other species for control as migrations begin, food becomes scarce, and border wars erupt across the territories. Humans are no longer at the top of the food chain.

Tau Scorpii A, a massive red giant star in a binary cluster with Tau Scorpii B, a yellow dwarf. The solar system is populated by more than thirty planets, at least one habitable. Called Sedna by the SolTerrans that live there, named for a planet in their ancestral system. The desert is a dangerous place for alien species – and on Sedna, they’re all alien species.

This is a bit later on during the conversation I posted last week.  Taryn doesn’t have to get the last word in, but she certainly has some words.

I’m not stupid, of course I don’t want to be in charge,” Taryn said. “You both have years more experience, in the desert, in wars, in dealing with other clans. I’m going because I’m the fresh eyes and ideas you need, to figure out all the new things happening here. If you want my opinion, I’ll be out watching the star-rise; let me know what you decide to do.” With a cocky nod of her head, she strode out of the library.

She just called us old,” Garrett said after a few moments. “But she does have a point.”

Always,” Asher said. “You need to take her south, you need to listen to her. To clarify, do not let her provoke you into something you know you shouldn’t be doing – remind her how old and wise you are.”

My move is getting closer, maybe as soon as 4 weeks.  Maybe not.  For now, I’m doing promos for Bloodlines, and The Wildblood series.  If you’re interested in the post-apocalyptic type,  this story arc is complete.  I’m pretty excited about it.

I’ll start in on Tau Scorpii promos as soon as my plans are a little more set, and I get a better idea when a release date is.
