And It’s Sunday

I missed my weekend post, having gotten my hands on the next-to-the-last edit of Renegades.  So, if anyone is interested in helping me launch this baby, email me. Blog posts, Twitter posts, FB, you know what I mean. If you’d be interested in reviewing either The Vista or Renegades, let me know and I can send you an eArc. They are books 1 & 2 of a post-apocalyptic, action-adventure series.

Marketing is still a mystery to me. Helpful suggestions are always appreciated!

I’m also kicking my newsletter into gear. If you’re interested. I won’t resort to bribery, not yet. 😉

Have a peaceful, productive weekend. I should be back next week with a snippet. From which book, that remains to be seen.

Renegades: Book 2 of The Wildblood – Autumn 2016

Garden of the gods

Here Again

I’ve been horrible at keeping up on social media the past few weeks.  Editing is occupying all my waking moments.  The good news is, Renegades will be released soon.  Autumn, this year.  The other good news is – The Wildblood series is going to print!

Wooo!  I actually have a copy – a real, live paperback – of Backlash.  It’s so cool.  It’s also available through Amazon.  The Vista will be following along shortly, and of course, Renegades.

As for other projects, there is a SFR creeping around the corner, demanding I let it out.  More on that, as it moves along.

I’ve also been playing with the idea of novellas in The Wildblood universe.  There are so many stories.  We’ll see.

That’s it.  I have to hit the books again.  Plus, go pet my shiny new paperback.

Renegades Snippet

I missed my usual weekend blog posting this week. I’ve been getting some lapidary work done this week, something I can’t in the summer because it’s too hot. Now that I’ve ground up some rocks, figured out suppers for the rest of the weekend, and ironed out a sticky plot point, I’m ready to go.

In celebration, a snippet! I’m not giving out any spoilers today. This is from the WIP Renegades: Book 2 of The Wildblood. The bad news is – they’re in a teeny tiny airplane, not a car. The really bad news is – they’re lost, running out of fuel, ect. You get the idea.

“Do we have enough fuel to make it to Lyons, straight-shot?” Shan asked, not worried yet. She might be, soon enough.

Green read the gauge and did some quick calculating. “It’ll be close.”

“I keep trying to raise someone on the radio. If there’s a reply, problem solved. If not, we make for Estes Park. You find a road on your computer. We get as close as we can, and call an emergency at the Lyons airstrip.”

“I’m glad you have that much confidence in my flying skills. My landing skills,” Green corrected. “In deteriorating weather, the dark.”

“I do,” Shan said.

“You, Capt. Allen, are bat-shit crazy, then.”

“Because I trust you?”

“Because you trust the mountains and the storm not to kill us tonight.”

And there’s that. Renegades: Book 2 of The Wildbood has a release date of Feb., 2016.

Available on KU now.

Backlash is free in all markets right now.

Mid-Week Snippet

Ah, it’s Tuesday. I think. I’ve got some promo ideas in the works. As of tomorrow (Nov. 4), Backlash will be free everywhere. Well, everywhere as soon as Amazon catches up. You know how that works. The Vista will be going KDP Select also, for 90 days anyway. I’m trying something new, looking for that niche to sell a few books. Must remember to update the website too, or anyone that happens to stop by will be lost.

So, a short snippet from the WIP Renegades: Book 2 of The Wildblood. Team Three is scattering across the Front Range. Sure, they’re looking for answers to some questions they can’t get in The Vista, but there’s going to be some soul-searching, too. And, you know, renegades. At least one of them is going to go all out with that. Plus that new romance hinted at all through the first book is going to get some attention. Other stuff as well, but that’s for later. Here’s a few words.

“We’ve had no real preparation for this,” Shan offered.

“How could we?” Wade said. “We go do what we can. We see what we can see, we make contacts where we find other people. We watch, we learn.”

“We hope for a little good luck,” Mac added, feeling Wade’s disdain of the word.

“Luck?” Wade repeated.

“Yeah, yeah,” Mac said. “You don’t believe in luck. A year ago, you didn’t believe there were cities scattered across the country either.”

“Not the point. I’m going to find out about those cities. I don’t have to have permission from anyone. Neither do you. We’re not prisoners. If you aren’t afraid of the Council, you should do the same thing.”

“I’ve got Cody to run,” Mac disagreed. “Priorities.”

“Damned right,” Shan added.

“I understand whatever decision you make. I’ve made mine.” Wade got the last word in, as usual, their contact breaking into three distinct parts before it faded away.

Now, promos. I bet you could have guess that. Amazon is still at 99 cents but the other places have all changed over to free. Backlash is the prequel novella and answers a few questions about Team Three and The Vista.

As of tomorrow, KDP Select. The link on this page will be updated as soon I have it listed. PS – the graphic is a cover mock-up, I use S. A. Hoag on this series.

WeWriWa #8Sunday

Ahhhh, the weekend. Time to line up all the things I need to do next week. Right now, I’ve got a brand new WIP, the 2nd book in The Wildblood series. Naturally, it doesn’t have a name yet, but I do have a few lines for you.

Brought to you by –

You can stop by WeWriWa and find a plethora of authors with previews. Now, my 8.

Green tapped on the instrument panel, indicating the radiation monitor and that they were where they’d planned to view the ruins from, a nice, safe distance. “If you want to switch seats with me . . .”

“You’re the pilot,” she said, wary of moving at all. “You stay there.”

“It’s on auto-pilot and for five minutes, we’ll be fine.”

Shannon sat up, queasy. “All right. I want to go crawl back in my bunk. Show me what was so important we decided to fly out here, in the middle of winter, in between storms.”

That’s it. Not a lot to go on, but the action picks right up, I promise. (PS – go read the previous post!)

Below are links to Backlash, the prequel novella to The Wildblood series, and The Vista, which is Book 1. Comments are always appreciated. Enjoy your weekend!

There’s something dangerous, out beyond The Vista, and it’s watching them.
