First off, I’m baaaaaaaaaaaaack. I hope to be here weekly, but it’s incredibly difficult to ration my time. I can only try.

OK, there’s that. I’ve pitched out the first draft of Bloodlines, calling redo. This is a few lines. Just when you think things are safe, stuff happens. This is Shannon, one of the Genetically Enhanced, talking to another officer. Green is her backup, and she confides in him, probably more than she should. They know, the problems they are facing, started at home. There are a lot of plotlines in play, in this tiny snippet.

“Can we protect The Vista?” Green asked, honestly worried.
“I don’t know. That’s what we’re going to figure out. If we don’t think we can, we decide what comes next. It might mean we have to get away from here, it might mean we have to do things that Council will absolutely consider illegal, and Command might have to agree with.”
“Those are a lot of ‘mights’. I hope the comm room isn’t bugged.”
“It’s not. You know why I’m telling you.”
“Because Hunter isn’t here, and Mac has changed.”
“Ouch,” she grimaced.

I’m really aiming for an autumn release date. At least I’m getting it written. In the meantime, you can catch up on the series. The Vista is on sale right now, FYI. See you next week!
