Hello again! This week’s 8 are a continuation of last week’s 8. Comments are welcomed, of course. This is from ‘The Vista’, a sci-fi thing I whipped up and is due for release this month!

“Radiation,” she said quietly. “Low levels, really, higher than I wanted to deal with. The place was big too, a lot larger than Butte.”
“Was the radiation higher or lower than Missouri Breaks?”
“Higher.”
“I’m glad you stayed away, good call.” No emotion about it.
“I’m sorry,” she offered.

It’s not much to go with there, but you can find other excerpt here in my blog. You can find more writers here –
Sounds like a mighty unpleasant world they’re dealing with. I’m wondering why she feels the need to apologize. Interesting snippet!

Hmm… first she says “low levels” of radiation, but then it’s higher than she wants to deal with. Should she or shouldn’t she be concerned? I’m curious about Butte and Missouri Breaks. I associate Butte with Montana.

Butte is indeed in Montana. She should be concerned.

Butte, Montana is a great place for Saint Patty’s day. Though, it would be hard to imagine a place larger with higher levels of toxicity.

I love this kind of story (as far as I can tell from the snippet LOL), can’t wait to read it all. Excellent excerpt!
